Optimizing for Search

Springboard previously had success relying on Wix for its website but it lacked the features necessary to market the brand. When Springboard reached out to lionEater we provided a marketing strategy that tackled Canadian Grant & Funding search terms related to organic traffic without relying on high cost-per-click keywords. Following our integrated approach, a strategy was guided by search marketing to ultimately win those keywords using organic search.

Organic Search Visibility

Our digital web migration approach provided an affordable solution for local business SpringBoard Grants to access advanced SEO features and break away from the constraints of Wix.

Understanding the client specializations such as federal, provincial, and municipal grants we were able to capitalize on the SME search journey in Ontario.

This resulted in increasing organic visibility with prospective customers across the Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough area who had not yet discovered SpringBoard Grants online — growing customer awareness and word of mouth outside of Toronto.

After implementing Technical SEO best practices during our Wix to Wordpress migration we achieved keyword ranking across the board for grant terms, local funding options, and federal programs for small businesses.

Previous Design

The previous design focused heavily on content to drive traffic to the contact form.

We approached the site architecture a little differently, creating specific silos for each type of grant.

This allowed for a more cohesive flow into the contact form. Once we attached attribution and analytics, we could measure the demand and success of each service better than before.

This allows for the feedback loop required to apply eCommerce optimization.

Startup Funding in Ontario

The small business industry in Peterborough is relying on companies like Springboard to provide funding services but not heavily on Search Engine Optimization. We identified an opportunity to save money on acquisitions while also establishing the brand presence online that Springboard was achieving within their community.

lionEater designed a clean, easy-to-follow user experience for accessing grants and funding, including links that are incredibly helpful for customers.

Our strategy measured Keyword Rankings and Movements for all the traffic generating pages, investigating the health of their backlink profile and optimizing site speed. Technical SEO was the main focus and we leveraged free social media presence to build authority with Google.

We simplified the contact form, added technical features for removing spam or other irritable bots and set up a custom inbox to organize any incoming leads from the site.

This has resulted in an increase in clicks, as well as impressions for Springboard Grants.
